An education consultant for the conservative news site Breitbart News will receive $1 million a year.
The salary is based on the number of hours worked in a year, and includes benefits such as health insurance and vacation.
In addition to the $1,000 bonus, the $160,000-a-year consultant will receive an annual $1.5 million contribution to the conservative think tank.
The news comes a day after Breitbart News Chief Executive Steve Bannon resigned amid a sexual harassment scandal, and as President Donald Trump’s approval rating has sunk to its lowest point since the early 1990s.
Breitbart News has been among the most conservative news sites in the world for more than a decade.
It has long been criticized for its politics and for its editorial standards.
